For a wounded service member, reaching the right hospital is a vital part of the journey towards treatment. In August, the Medical Evacuation in Ukraine 2026 project completed 46 evacuation missions and transported 251 wounded service members to specialised medical care.
The teams help patients reach hospitals able to provide surgery and other specialised treatment that may not be available close to the front line. Each transfer depends on coordination between medical staff, drivers and the people organising the journey.
These monthly figures represent the work of teams, partners and supporters who make the transfers possible. Thank you to everyone helping this work continue.
