At our Ukrainian school Mriya, a group of children presented something most adults never manage: a finished book. «Таємниці Ріверкросу» — The Secrets of Rivercross — is an adventure novel written by students of the FUTURAMA programme, using AI tools as part of the process.
The project was not only about writing. Along the way the children worked through storytelling and structure, built their own characters, illustrated the book, and followed it all the way to publication — learning, in passing, what modern AI tools can and cannot do for a writer.
What came out is a story in which a child’s imagination turned into an actual world on paper: adventures, riddles, unexpected discoveries, courage, and characters the young authors made themselves. A printed edition is on its way.
Congratulations to the authors, and thank you to the team that made the project possible.
