A space to grow: our programme for children and teenagers

Art therapy, a music therapy workshop, the Youth Club, trips, individual sessions and seminars for parents -- the full weekly programme LUkraine runs for children and teenagers in Luxembourg.

A child who has left a war does not need to be treated as a patient. Most of the time what they need is a room, a fixed time each week, and adults who show up. Below is everything LUkraine currently runs for children and teenagers in Luxembourg, in one place.

Art therapy

For ages 6-10, every Wednesday at 17:30. For ages 12-16, from August, every second Wednesday at 18:00. Creative sessions where feelings get expressed without having to be explained — which, for a teenager, is often the only way they get expressed at all.

Music therapy workshop

For ages 12-16, on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 17:50.

Youth Club

For ages 12-16, every Saturday at 16:00. The club has a facilitator who himself spent a year there as a volunteer before joining the team.

Trips and excursions

Outings and active weekends through the year. Announced as they are scheduled.

Individual therapy

By appointment, for children and teenagers who need one-to-one support rather than a group.

Seminars for parents

Open to parents and to anyone interested, on the fourth Saturday of the month at 12:00. Recent sessions have covered how sibling relationships shape a teenager’s ability to make friends, and child psychosomatics.

Everything above is free of charge, and every session depends on funding that has to be raised again each year.

Keep these rooms open, week after week.
