On 24 July, volunteers spent the morning in Luxembourg loading a truck bound for Ukraine. It left the following day, crossed the Polish border on 28 July, and was unloaded first in Kyiv and then in Dnipro. The last pallets came off in our Dnipro warehouse on 10 August.
The largest consignment on board was medical equipment donated through Hospilux together with Lions, worth €49,842. It included a Leon Plus anaesthesia unit with its accessories, and it was handed over to Kyiv Children’s Hospital No. 1. The same convoy carried 35 tablets, bought for schools and institutions working with displaced children.
Earlier in July a second truck reached us from Sweden, sent by Ukrainahjälpen till Vinnytsia. Ten pallets of fire extinguishers from that shipment went to the Azov Brigade; medical supplies were distributed to a hospital, to the State Emergency Service and to educational institutions. A dental unit mounted in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was formally transferred to Brigade 128 in the same period.
This was one of more than fifteen humanitarian loads LUkraine has organised since January. We work with partners in Luxembourg, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland, and every shipment depends on the same three people: someone in Luxembourg who gives, someone who drives, and someone in Ukraine who receives and distributes.
