Registration of vehicles
Any person who has moved to Luxembourg and brought a car with license plates of another
country, must re-register this car within 6 months. (See paragraph 35 in the answers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Ukrainians who came to Luxembourg
).
Car re-registration
- Completed and signed form with a request for re-registration
- Droit de chancellerie tax – €50
- Invoice from the dealership or car purchase agreement
- Valid insurance certificate
- Document on customs clearance of the car (vignette 705′ customs document)
- Car registration in Ukraine (must be translated)
- Identity card of the owner and/or user of the car
- If the car is older than 4 years, a document on technical inspection provided by specialized
organizations in Luxembourg. - A certificate confirming the compliance of the car with the EU requirements (if not available, order it from an authorized center in Luxembourg).

Driver's license
As part of the “transport visa-free regime” signed on June 29 between Ukraine and the EU, Ukrainian
driving licenses will be fully recognized in the bloc.
Thus, Ukrainians will not need to change their license or take additional exams for the entire
