SUMMARY:Magic of the Bells. Carillon concert
DESCRIPTION:We offer you a magic experience of Ukrainian and International carillon music performance by Oleksandra Makarova\, enjoyed in the surrounding of candles and friends.\nThis performance is possible thanks to Dean of Basilika Francis Erasmy and Anna Kasprzycka. \nReservations: uadays@ukrainians.lu \n\n1 Free admission with donation.\n\n\n\n\nPROGRAM\n\n\n\n\n\nOleksandra Makarova is a Ukrainian carillonneur\, pianist\, and percussionist. She was born in Mukachevo\, Ukraine. She began studying carillon in 2018 at the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen\, where she continues to refine her skills under the guidance of Elena Sadina. \nShe also obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine and later continued her education at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp as pianist and marimbist. \n  \nConcert Activities \nOleksandra Makarova actively performs carillon concerts across Europe. She has played in Belgium\, the Netherlands\, France\, and Switzerland\, in cities such as Grimbergen\, Antwerp\, Mechelen\, Enghien\, Liege\, Tienen\, Venlo\, Nieuwegein\, Léon\, Rhones\, Chatenay\, Geneva\, and Lausanne. \nIn 2022\, she won 1st place at the carillon competition in Doornik. \nIn 2024\, she became a finalist at the Queen Fabiola Carillon Competition (Mechelen\, Belgium)\, where she placed 5th and received the Audience Award. \nShe continues her concert activities and studies\, expanding her repertoire and performing solo programs. \n  \nIn her programm\, she will play music of: A. Dvořák\, M. Legrand\, G. D’hollander\, Ivan Levytsky/arr. Oleksandra Makarova\, Oleksandra Makarova
